Instructions for XLRI call getters 2016

Weightage for the final selection:

The weightage for XAT and other components would be 60% and 40% for all programs of XLRI. The weightage of GD/PI is 25%. Essay, GK, academic, work-ex, video would constitute another 15%. After analyzing GD/PI data, the weightages may undergo a change, especially if we can find a better solution.

Special instruction for GD/PI:

Bottom 10% scores in GD/PI may not be considered for final selection irrespective of scores in other components.

Instructions to the students for the group discussion:

  1. Discuss the given topic and generate several and distinguishable arguments in favor of and against the topic.
    • Candidates are expected to generate minimum three arguments in favor and three arguments against the topic
  2. Identify the criteria/condition under which a particular argument will hold good.
  3. Rank the diverse arguments according to the criterion.
  4. Discuss implementation challenges for the first ranked argument.
