It is a commendable activity which the Samarthya Team have undertaken as the youth wing of CEMLR. I wish them all the best.”

Samarthya is an initiative taken by the students of XLRI to help school students realize their full potential by focusing on social and emotional learning. The model of Samarthya consists of group sessions being delivered by a team of Samarthya facilitators for classes of school students in Jamshedpur.

The conveners Arun and Himanshu said that, “The idea behind ‘Samarthya’ is to have a dedicated group of XLers who would conduct regular sessions with school children of Jamshedpur, helping them in channelizing their emotions and in meeting the challenges as teenagers. Every Year we do our best and provide support to the school youths of Jamshedpur. DISHA ‘15 is something that is eagerly awaited by the schools and we are providing that opportunity by organizing DISHA ’15 this year too. During the year we have also organized a teacher training workshop – “Meet the Mentors: Train the Trainers”, conducted by CEMLR to enable the teachers act as mentors for students in their schools.
