Alumni Silver Jubilee Reunion

After the grand success of HOMECOMING in November, the Alumni Committee recently organized 2 more Alumni Reunions on campus.

The annual Silver Jubilee Reunion (for the Class of ’89) was held on 20th-21st December, 2014 and the Thirty year Reunion (for theClass of ’84) was held on 3rd-4th January, 2015. Each of the meets were attended by 40+ alumni of the respective batches over the two weekends.

Looking at the success that the alumni had achieved in their respective careers, the students were left wondering whether it was a gathering of old batch mates or a galaxy of corporate CEOs meeting during a business conclave!

The alumni were taken on a tour of their old classrooms by Prof. Sarin. They were later joined by Father Director E. Abraham who made a presentation on the recent expansion of campus infrastructure & XLRI’s vision for the future. Two of the modern classrooms in the new Learning Center were also dedicated to the respective batches with a felicitation ceremony and donation pledges of over Rs.2.7 Crore made to the Xavier Endowment Fund.

The Alumni-Student interactions, in an informal setup, were also a huge success. Looking at the success that the alumni had achieved in their respective careers, the students were left wondering whether it was a gathering of old batchmates or a galaxy of corporate CEOs meeting during a business conclave!

The alumni spent the rest of the time bonding with each other over lavish dinners. The alumni had a really fun time reminiscing over old memories & jokes. They were highly appreciative of the amenities in the expanded XLRI campus, the brilliant organization of both reunions & promised to revisit their alma mater soon.
